SAMANTHA AYALA AMAYA
Samantha Ayala Amaya began studying dance at the age of four in Mexico City. She has trained under the direction of Susan Connally, Karin Connally Heiden, and Joseph and Laura Villalobos. Samantha has participated in productions such as Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, La Boutique Fantasque, and The Royal Ballet's The Sleeping Beauty. She has also danced the title role in San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet's Snow White. More recently, Samantha has performed with the Montgomery Ballet professional company in their productions of The Nutcracker, Messiah, and The Wizard of Oz. She has attended and performed at workshops and intensives such as Regional Dance America and the USA International Ballet Competition School. Miss Ayala Amaya currently teaches at the Huntsville Ballet School and is looking forward to her participation with the Huntsville Ballet Company.
GARLAND (LEE) BOROWSKI
Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Lee began his dance training at age 9 with his older sister Kiersten Borowski Boyett. He started his training at Mobile Ballet under Sydney Adams at age 11 and joined the Mobile Ballet Company at age 12. At 15, Lee was accepted by the Studio Company of Ballet Chicago under artistic director Daniel Duell. Afterward, Lee trained at A&A Ballet under the instruction of Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. Throughout the years Lee’s performances have included roles in The Nutcracker, Dracula, Coppelia, Snow White, Cinderella, Square Dance, Tchaikovsky Pas De Deux, Stars and Stripes, and Serenade. He has performed in many original works by choreographers including Daniel Duell, Ted Seymore, Brittany Hurst, Alexei Kremnev, and Terrence Marling. During summer months, Lee has trained at nationally and internationally renowned summer intensives which include Charlotte Ballet, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Pacific Northwest Ballet, The School of American Ballet, and Ballet Austin. While attending these programs, he was able to work with highly esteemed instructors, including Peter Boal and Suzanne Farrell. Lee joined Huntsville Ballet's Professional Company in 2018.
Abby began dancing at the age of five in her home town of Huntsville, AL. Throughout her youth, she won many awards at various dance competitions. At age fourteen, Abby decided to focus on ballet and began her ballet training at Huntsville Ballet School, where she trained for three years. While attending a summer intensive at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Abby was selected to join their Professional Division program and trained for two years with noted faculty such as Peter Boal, Marjorie Thompson, and Abbie Siegel. While there, she was fortunate to dance many company roles in productions such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Jewels, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ballet Imperial, Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote. She also performed leading roles in PNB’s school productions, such as Pinocchio, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sylvia, and Le Corsaire. After completing the Professional Division program, Abby joined Los Angeles Ballet Company where she has danced the past four seasons. She performed many roles in ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, The Four Temperaments, Western Symphony, Divertimento No. 15, Who Cares, The Prodigal Son, and Serenade. She also danced a leading role in Aszure Barton’s contemporary piece, Untouched. During the summer, Abby has trained both nationally and internationally at renowned programs including Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ballet West, The Rock School, and American Ballet Theatre. Most recently, Abby trained at Estonian National Ballet, where she performed in the Summer Nights International Gala. Abby Is excited to be joining Huntsville Ballet this season, and is proud to be a part of the company.
Morgan began dancing in 2000 at Alabama Dance Academy under the direction of Pamela Merkel in Birmingham, Alabama. She has attended summer intensives including Florida State University, Alabama Ballet, Kaatsbaan, Charlotte Ballet, The Rock School for Dance Education, and Ballet Met. In 2015, she attended The Rock School for Dance Education in the Professional Division supervised by Bojan and Stephanie Spassoff. There she participated in Nutcracker 1776. Additionally, Morgan competed in Youth American Grand Prix. Morgan joined the Huntsville Ballet School in 2016 and is a member of the company for the 2017 year.
Originally from Connecticut, Tierin-Rose Mandelburg trained at Eastern Connecticut Ballet under the artistic direction of Gloria Govrin, a former soloist with New York City Ballet. Mandelburg has had the privilege to attend summer programs with Boston Ballet School, Pennsylvania Ballet, Miami City Ballet and Ballet Chicago. She has also had the privilege to learn from Sara Mearns, Arantxa Ochoa, Francis Veyette, Ángel Corella, Patricia Blair, Daniel Duell, and Amy Aldridge through both classes and choreographic works. Passionate about continuing her education, Mandelburg is pursuing her bachelor's degree with Liberty University. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue dancing with the Huntsville Ballet Company for her third season.
